I want to take this opportunity to thank all the Members of our MMD community for your continued support as we navigate through these unprecedented times. Our state is slowly inching towards Phase 5, while the nation is days away from celebrating its Independence Day on July 4th. Celebrations and Get-togethers as they continue to grow in numbers, we recommend the need to continue to take all necessary precautions. If Social distancing and other risk mitigation efforts are not continued, infections could begin to grow again because a permanent solution to the epidemic has not yet been identified. MMD is continuing its efforts to branch out and connect with other communities and organizations to ensure our Members are able to enjoy a vast array of talent we share here in Michigan while still following all CDC and State guidelines. Michigan Indian American Community Service, MAI Family Services, ICMA- Indian Classical and Music Foundation, our own Ank Ninad to name a few. We have also been encouraging new faces and productions from Maharashtra Mandals in other states on our Website. We were happy to introduce Supriya Kelkar via a zoom format to promote her new book. To our continued supporters Mrinal and Anil Arkatkar, Amit and Sarita Deshpande our special thanks. Our health initiatives continue to grow and we will continue to approach Members from the medical field to host events in the future. Yoga with Anju Vale, Prajakta Ketkar, and Mohini Joshi continues to flourish on FB live every week. We welcome feedback and suggestions from all our Members and promise to continue to carve out innovative paths for our community enrichment in the days and weeks to come. We appreciate your support and hope to continue to provide access to entertainment and enrichment in these changing times. I truly appreciate and value my executive committee and the volunteers who contribute to all the efforts balancing between work and home. We will stay in touch and as always stay safe and healthy.
